THATS THAT FOR 2011 THEN......

Well. The rain stayed of the race and the BBQ....JUST. But it was another dark and blustery night last night. The sort of weather that's been all too familiar this summer.

Still. A good race from those who were there and once the results were in the overall scores on the doors could be calculated and trophies awarded.

The results for the last race can be found HERE:

The worthy winners for 2011 were:

Female:

1st Susan Lyle, Dunbar
2nd Margarie Kelly, Dunbar
Mags Maxwell, Dunbar

Male:

1st Ali Dewar, JogScotland
2nd Steve Pattison, Musselburgh
3rd David Woods, HELP

Richard took advantage of marshaling duties to take some cracking photos that are available HERE.

If you enjoyed the shorter distance of some of the Summer Series races then you might want to consider doing some of the Borders Cross Country races later in the year. Same sort of distance ... but with added mud!!

RACE 4: NORTH BERWICK - RESULTS

Holidays etc. meant a slightly reduced field at last night's fourth race in the series.
A 5.6km there and back run along the sandy shores of North Berwick.
Thanks to Saartje for laying on this route.

Full results can be found HERE.

RESULTS - RACE 3

Well. It was a lot lot drier than it was last week.
And 22 runners turned up to have a go at the four mile "there and back" route starting at Longniddry Railway Station.

Full results can be found HERE.

RACE 2 - RESULTS

It's "summer". Apparently.
If one picture can sum up the conditions for last nights second leg of the series then it's the one above.
Horrendous conditions for the twenty souls who still decided to turn up and take the challenge of the 7.5k route round Little Spott and Spott.

A slight change to the results format this time. Due to the weather it was decided to start "en mass" (a few runners had already set off).
Results this time are based on the difference between the runners actual time and their handicap time (those runners who set of before the main field have had their times adjusted).

THE RESULTS ARE HERE.

Lets hope for better weather next time.
